Hayao Miyazaki (宫崎骏) (born 5th January 1941, in Tokyo, Japan) is one of the Japan's greatest animation directors.

Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki



This film received many awards, including the second Oscar ever awarded for Best Animated Feature, the first anime film to win an Academy Award, and the only winner of that award to win among five nominees (in every other year there were three nominees). The film also won the Golden Bear at the 2002 Berlin International Film Festival.

The Story begins here:
Chihiro, a 10 year old girl, and her parents lose their way while moving to a new town, had entered to the spirit world.

A young boy, Haku, helps Chihiro by protecting her from danger and gives her advice after her parents have transformed into pigs. He has the ability to fly and to transform into a dragon.

During Chihiro adventure she matures from a whiny, self-centered, and pessimistic child to a hard-working, responsible, optimistic young girl who has learned to care for others.
